“Towards the Great Ocean” was the rallying call of the Trans-Siberian railway, a mammoth construction that unified the Russian Empire from coast to coast, and gave Russia it’s glimpse of the Pacific. Russia may not make much of an impact on Asia, but it still keeps its place in the most dynamic region in Earth.
